About Anne Marie Foran

Artists Statement

My first love was of the colors that surrounded me—the bright lights and vivid advertising signs of New York City where I was born and spent my early years. Pursuing that love of color I began to paint with a variety of mediums and in different styles. I work in oil, watercolor, cold wax and pastel to create unique paintings and collages and occasionally sculptures. My subjects range from human to animal portraits to abstract landscapes.

Having studied with a variety of experienced teachers, I like to believe my work continues to be an eclectic mix but with my own recognizable style shining through. Today my love of art is who I am. My desire is to share this art with others who will look upon it, will welcome it into their lives and come to love it as I do.
